LightLeaf Solar is a company composed of adventurers. Founder Rick Retzlaff has braved tens of boating trips, and every one of our employees has their next adventure marked on a calendar.
Rick was planning an electric boat trip when he realized the cumbersome nature of glass solar panels. In building his boat, he found that a glass solar panel was too clunky and heavy to work with. Considering flexible panels instead, he found they were too flimsy, requiring messy adhesives to sit flat. Rick knew he had to come up with something better.
With a background in engineering and a love for tinkering, he founded LightLeaf Solar with one goal: build a solar panel that can power any adventure. One that is rigid and strong, serving both structurally and aesthetically. A solar panel you can not only stand on, but rely on, an unfailing energy source for all applications.
We see the need for our solar solutions around the world, in adventurers, engineers, and business owners. Our solar panels have limitless applications, and this fact alone drives us forward.Solar with one goal: build a solar panel that can power any adventure. One that is rigid and strong, serving both structurally and aesthetically.
