ROC Technology®, or Rigid Overlay Composite technology, is our deliberate process of layering together fine materials for comprehensive functionality and feel. It defines the best in every solar panel we make - rigid, rugged, and nearly weightless, our panels are built to tolerate abuse while providing consistent power.

RIGID

Where solar meets structure. Our panels boast a strength far beyond typical glass panels, a performance made possible through carbon composition and inventive manufacturing. Designed to withstand heavy loading, they can be tossed into the bottom of a trunk, used as a makeshift bench, even stood on. Such rigidity seems impossible at just 1/4 of the weight and thickness of standard glass panels - a drastic upgrade made without any sacrifice in durability or output.

LIGHTWEIGHT

Our panels can brave a fall from tens of feet in the air with little to no impact on performance - in fact, they are so light that you would have no problem catching one. Our standard 100W panel weighs just 2.3kg (5.4lb), compared to glass panels at 15kg (33lb). This radical improvement is made possible through LightLeaf’s signature layering system and fine materials.

WEATHER-RESISTANT

Our ROC Technology® creates an impact resistant shield with minimal performance loss following impact, a necessary feature for rough outdoor use. Finally, Entropy Resins’ bio-based epoxy holds everything in place with a consideration for energy conservation and minimizing harmful byproducts.
